Dr. Greg Frishman was born and raised in Pinecrest and Coral Gables and attended both Palmetto and Coral Gables Senior High. He attained his Bachelors Degree in Animal Science at the University of Florida, and then earned his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Louisiana State University.
After receiving his Doctorate, Dr. Frishman moved to Brickell Key while completing a small animal internship. Through his intensive training and experience, Dr. Frishman has developed a philosophy that he feels is critical to providing superior veterinary care: closely understanding the relationship between each pet and their owner allows him to offer our clients the best individualized medical options and the most practical preventative health care plans.
As the veterinarian and owner of Brickell Bay Animal Hospital, Dr. Frishman is passionate about offering the highest quality veterinary medicine in a friendly, compassionate, caring and supportive environment. He and our exceptional team of professionals will work with you and your pet to deliver an individualized health care plan to ensure their optimum health. He welcomes any questions or concerns you may have about your pet's health and well-being, and is available for appointments Monday-Saturday.
Dr. Amanda Canada (previously Dr. DeCerce) was born and raised in Miami, Florida. After graduating from Our Lady Of Lourdes Academy, she moved to Tallahassee, Florida to attend Florida State University. She graduated in 2009, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. During her time at Florida State, she was an active member of the pre-vet club and helped organize local volunteer opportunities to assist animals in need. She also worked at a local animal hospital as a veterinary technician.
Dr. Canada graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014, earning her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. She was the treasurer of her veterinary class during this time and served on the interview committee for incoming veterinary students. In addition, Dr. Canada frequently volunteered to help spay and neuter shelter animals in order to give them a better chance at adoption.
She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), Florida Veterinary Medical Association (FVMA) and is certified with the USDA, enabling her to authorize animal health certificates for your travel needs.
Dr. Canada's veterinary interests include dermatology, surgery, and internal medicine. She enjoys biking, swimming, traveling, and watching Florida State Football. Go Noles! Her and her husband have two adorable dogs (a Labrador mix named Huey and a Doberman named Geisha).
Dr. Barbara Campos
Dr. Barbara Campos is Chilean born and raised but now calls Brickell her home. She graduated from the Mayor School of Veterinarian Medicine in Santiago, Chile in 2011 and soon after moved to the United States. In 2014, Dr. Campos joined Brickell Bay Animal Hospital as a veterinary nurse so that she could continue to provide the highest quality of veterinary care for the family pets in her new home area while preparing for the United States’ rigorous foreign veterinary testing program. For two years she was our hospital’s anesthesia and surgical nurse while also completing the United States and State of Florida’s Veterinary requirements.
Dr. Campos understands how important pets are to their owners. She is passionate about offering the highest quality of medicine to all and enjoys utilizing her extensive training and well-rounded experience to discover the most effective way to treat her patients. Her vast veterinary experience includes completion of a resident program at the Santiago Zoo, as well as working at wildlife centers in both Boulder, Colorado and Cape Cod, Massachusetts. She enjoys building deep and lasting bonds with her patients and their owners and is excited to continue to forge new relationships with the wonderful families Brickell Bay Animal Hospital serves.
In her free time Dr. Campos likes to travel with her husband to learn more about other countries and cultures, swimming, hiking, and spending time with her little poodle named Bellota. She also thoroughly enjoys living and working in Brickell and supporting the local businesses, events, and restaurants. Dr. Campos speaks English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
