Appointments – Our Philosophy and Why We Prefer Them

We know you’re busy and your time is valuable and is just as important as ours! We work very hard to meet the high demand of appointments and schedule them correctly and efficiently. We are passionate about ensuring that each and every pet receives our doctors’ complete and undivided attention and focus. Listening and understanding requires spending the proper amount of time with each patient. Not being rushed due to poor scheduling plays an important role in this. Our doctors not only see scheduled appointments each day, but they must also examine and treat hospitalized patients, perform surgeries and medical procedures, call owners to review test results and obtain updates on pets that are recovering at home, read and interpret prior medical histories and laboratory results, and thoroughly document each patient’s medical record. Due to this heavy workload, we appreciate you arriving on time or early for your scheduled appointment to ensure your pet, as well as everyone else’s, gets the care and attention he or she deserves. If you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment time, please call us promptly so that we may reschedule your appointment. Late arrivals may be rescheduled out of consideration to our other appointments, responsibilities, and obligations that have been scheduled for that day.

Also, please let us know at the time you make your appointment if you have a lot of questions/concerns so we can schedule enough time for your visit. If we try to squeeze multiple issues into a single “quick visit”, it either results in cutting you off (not fair to you) or making our other patients wait while we finish (not fair to them).
